| Fence Rails | UC3 (User Class 3) | Above Ground (Horizontal) | Weather resistant; prevents warping in rain/sun cycles. |
| Fence Boards | UC3 (User Class 3) | Above Ground (Vertical) | Protects against fungal decay and North Yorkshire damp. |

How deep should I dig my fence posts?
For a 6ft (1.8m) fence, posts must be at least 2.4m (8ft) long to allow for 600mm (2ft) in the ground. This depth is required to prevent the fence from leaning or failing under wind-loading. Always use UC4-rated timber for the buried portion to prevent ground-line rot.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver within a 30-mile radius of our Pickering yard. This includes towns across North Yorkshire (Malton, York, Scarborough) and into East Yorkshire (Driffield, Pocklington, Bridlington). Enter your postcode at checkout for a specific delivery rate.
Is 4×4 or 3×3 better for fence posts?
4×4 (100mm x 100mm) is the structural standard for 6ft fencing. It provides a larger surface area for the post-mix to bond and offers superior resistance to snapping in high winds compared to 3×3.
Can I use C16 or C24 timber for fencing?
While C16/C24 are structural grades, they are typically used for internal framing or roofing. For fencing, the User Class (UC3/UC4) treatment is more important than the strength grade. Ensure your posts are UC4 for ground contact and your boards are UC3 for weather resistance.
